Mastellone is Chair of the Human Resource Training & Audit Programs Group and a Partner in the Employment Law & Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Mastellone is an active strategic and tactical business partner with the firm’s clients in providing employment law counseling and establishing and auditing human resources policies and procedures. She has extensive experience conducting training sessions for businesses and HR organizations on matters ranging from anti-harassment policy compliance, best human resources practices, documentation and discipline to leaves of absences in accordance with federal, state and local employment laws. Ms. Mastellone also conducts on-site harassment and whistleblower investigations. Ms. Mastellone also drafts and negotiates employment-related agreements including confidentiality, non-competition and separation agreements. As a member of the Employment Law & Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Mastellone also manages federal and state litigation, administrative agency proceedings, and arbitrations involving employment law matters, including the oversight of discovery, depositions, hearing and trials, and case resolution. Ms. Mastellone is the immediate Past Chair of the Women in the Profession Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Mastellone is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is a Board Member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association serving as the Co-Secretary, previously serving as the Co-Director of the Gala Committee and the Co-Director of the Judicial Outreach Committee. She is also a member of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Federal Practice and Procedure Section. In 2012, Ms. Mastellone was appointed to serve as a member of Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center’s Dean’s Alumni Advisory Council. From 2008 to 2011, she served as an Investigator for the Supreme Court of New Jersey District V-B Ethics Committee. Prior to joining Genova Burns, Ms. Mastellone served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York in the Administrative Law Division where she successfully defended challenges to New York City laws and regulations in numerous federal and state cases. Ms. Mastellone also prosecuted criminal matters on behalf of the Corporation Counsel’s Office. She also received the New York City Law Department’s Legal Rookie of the Year Award in 1999. Education
