| Charles S. Plumb (Full bio) represents management in all phases of employment law and labor relations. Much of his practice is dedicated to counseling employers on compliance with a broad range of state and federal employment laws and regulations and educating management on best practices for avoiding disputes arising from the employer/employee relationship. He also has extensive litigation experience before federal and state courts, regulatory and administrative agencies, and in arbitration matters involving claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliatory discharge, breach of contract, and constitutional law violations. His labor practice includes representing management in labor union negotiations and training, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitration. Charlie is a member of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section, the Oklahoma Bar Association's Labor Council, and the Media Law Resource Center's Employment Law Committee. He is also a frequent speaker and author on workplace issues. Charlie's achievements in employment law have earned him inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Oklahoma Super Lawyers, and the Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, where he was lauded as "an impressive public speaker who utilizes his vast experience to effectively defend clients." | Sam R. Fulkerson (Full bio) focuses his practice on the representation of management in all phases of the employment relationship, including litigation before federal and state courts, regulatory and administrative agencies, and in arbitration matters. He also handles litigation matters involving the enforcement of non-competition and confidentiality agreements, breach of employment contracts, handbook and personnel policy violations, wage and hour disputes and other disputes arising out of the employment relationship. Sam is recognized in Best Lawyers' Attorney of the Year in Labor/Employment Law in Oklahoma City for 2012. Sam has extensive experience in mediating and arbitrating employment disputes before the American Arbitration Association and other alternative dispute resolution organizations. He also has successfully represented employers in ERISA-based lawsuits against third-party administrators for misuse of employer funds, and against insurers for bad faith denial of employer claims under medical excess loss policies. In addition to litigation matters, Sam assists employers in developing employment policies and arbitration programs, and with preventive training for both management and hourly employees. He also routinely advises employers on hiring, discipline and termination, severance and reduction-in-force matters. He served as the leader of the firm's Labor and Employment Group for five years. | Sharolyn Whiting-Ralston (Full bio) is a trial lawyer whose practice is primarily focused on labor and employment law and general civil and business litigation. She represents employers in all phases of labor and employment law, including litigation before state and federal courts, regulatory and administrative agencies, and arbitration panels. Her experience includes advising clients on such issues as drug and alcohol testing, employee handbook and policy development, wage and hour matters, workplace safety and reductions in force as well as litigation avoidance and compliance with other federal and state laws. In addition to her representation of employers in labor and employment matters, she represents clients in general civil and business litigation matters including construction disputes and complex commercial litigation.
