About Susan's Practice

Susan G. Fentin is a partner with Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C., and practices in the firm's Springfield, Massachusetts, office. She joined the firm in 1999 after spending several years in the Labor and Employment Department of a large Hartford, Connecticut, law firm and was made a partner of the firm in 2004. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Western New England Law School, where she was Editor in Chief of the Western New England Law Review. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a clerk to the Honorable John M. Greaney, Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts. Before attending law school, Susan had a career in business and owned and operated her own company, giving her unique insight into the employment problems faced by business owners.

Susan is an editor of Massachusetts Employment Law Letter. Susan speaks annually at BLR’s Advanced Employment Issues Symposium and also is a frequent presenter in webinars sponsored by BLR. She is experienced in both labor law and employment litigation, speaks frequently to Employer Associations on employment law topics, and is a contributing author to Workplace Privacy.

Susan was named a "Super Lawyer" in Employment Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly which recognizes the top 5% of the lawyers in specific practice areas. For Several years Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business has included Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C. , in its list of the best Labor and Employment firms in Massachusetts, and Susan has been named one of the top labor and employment lawyers in the state in the 2010 and 2011 rankings.
