He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clifford O'Sullivan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and was an adjunct professor at The University of Michigan Law School. A regular contributor to legal and professional publications, he is likewise a frequent speaker and lecturer to various business, professional, and trade organizations. Mr. Vercruysse is a member of the American Bar Association Labor Law Section's Equal Employment Opportunity Committee and has been a presenter at the Committee's annual and midwinter meetings. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a charter member of the American Employment Law Council, of which membership of experienced labor and employment attorneys from across the nation is by invitation only. He also serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and facilitator. Ann M. Nicklas (Full bio) is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.S.N., magna cum laude, 1980) and Wayne State University Law School (J.D., 1993). She was a Note & Comment Editor for The Wayne Law Review.
William E. Altman (Full bio) is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.S. 1991) and Detroit College of Law (J.D., summa cum laude, 1995), where he graduated first in his class and received three American Jurisprudence Awards. He was a managing editor for the Detroit College of Law Review. Mr. Altman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. DeMascio of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He practices in the areas of labor and employment litigation on behalf of private and public sector employers. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association, and he is a member of the Federal Bar Association.
