Robert M. Vercruysse (Full bio), listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, and Who's Who Legal USA - Management Labour and Employment 2006, and a past Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, is nationally recognized as a leading counselor and litigator in all facets of employment, labor, civil rights, and ERISA litigation. His clients include manufacturing operations, institutions of higher education, news organizations and television stations, distributors, financial institutions, hospitals, and physician groups.
Mr. Vercruysse graduated from Michigan State University with high honors and received his J.D. (cum laude) from The University of Michigan Law School. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clifford O'Sullivan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and was an adjunct professor at The University of Michigan Law School. A regular contributor to legal and professional publications, he is likewise a frequent speaker and lecturer to various business, professional, and trade organizations.
Mr. Vercruysse is a member of the American Bar Association Labor Law Section's Equal Employment Opportunity Committee and has been a presenter at the Committee's annual and midwinter meetings. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a charter member of the American Employment Law Council, of which membership of experienced labor and employment attorneys from across the nation is by invitation only.
Mr. Vercruysse is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Michigan State Bar Foundation, a Trustee of the Historical Society of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, on the Michigan Employment Relations Commission's Advisory Committee, on the EEOC Advisory Committee on ADR, and on the ABA/EEO Liaison Committee for Michigan. He also serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and facilitator.

Ann M. Nicklas (Full bio) is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.S.N., magna cum laude, 1980) and Wayne State University Law School (J.D., 1993). She was a Note & Comment Editor for The Wayne Law Review.
Her primary areas of practice include labor and employment litigation on behalf of private and public sector employers and education law. Ms. Nicklas also has experience litigating cases before the National Labor Relations Board and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, representing employers in labor arbitrations and in discrimination matters before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and handling affirmative action and OFCCP compliance.
Ms. Nicklas has contributed numerous articles on employment issues to professional publications. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association.

William E. Altman (Full bio) is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.S. 1991) and Detroit College of Law (J.D., summa cum laude, 1995), where he graduated first in his class and received three American Jurisprudence Awards. He was a managing editor for the Detroit College of Law Review. Mr. Altman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. DeMascio of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He practices in the areas of labor and employment litigation on behalf of private and public sector employers. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association, and he is a member of the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Altman is also a co-author of Employment Discrimination Law, 3rd edition (BNA 2002) and Employment Law in Michigan, An Employer's Guide, 2nd edition (ICLE 2005).
