Mr. Vercruysse graduated from Michigan State University with high honors and received his J.D. (cum laude) from The University of Michigan Law School. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clifford O'Sullivan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and was an adjunct professor at The University of Michigan Law School. A regular contributor to legal and professional publications, he is likewise a frequent speaker and lecturer to various business, professional, and trade organizations. Mr. Vercruysse is a member of the American Bar Association Labor Law Section's Equal Employment Opportunity Committee and has been a presenter at the Committee's annual and midwinter meetings. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a charter member of the American Employment Law Council, of which membership of experienced labor and employment attorneys from across the nation is by invitation only. Mr. Vercruysse is also a life member of the Sixth Judicial Conference, U.S. Court of Appeals, a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Michigan State Bar Foundation, a Trustee of the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, on the Michigan Employment Relations Commission's Advisory Committee, on the EEOC Advisory Committee on ADR, and on the ABA/EEO Liaison Committee for Michigan. He also serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and facilitator.
